Nope, '88 was the last "best" year. Think about it, the guys building the '89's know it's over, so they're focused on where they're gonna be next year, they've started getting short-timers attitude, etc. The parts just get slapped together, no attention to detail, and maybe even some disgruntled efforts go into some of the '89's. No, 1988 they were optimistic, still full of excitement about the cars, they were putting everything they had into it.
