My HS was mostly Camrys and the like. I don't think many kids really cared about what they drove. All that really stood out besides the 944 was an MB 240D with a 4-speed. Sad to say, the 944 was probably the fastest student car in the lot.
When I was a freshman, one senior had an electric blue E36 M3. Probably the nicest car I ever saw in the student lot.
