Good, but she was still too polite. She had Gregory stammering, then stepped back. The problem with people like David Gregory is they've had it far too easy -- never getting challenged, never being called on their bullying righteousness and aggressive bias. It would so easy to do. I could eat Gregory for lunch. But no one wants to look mean to the media, or in front of them. "Niceness" as a function of fear is a moral failing. The man, or woman, who dares to be mean, who pushes them past their shallow certainties and smug conceits, presses them straight back into the corner, and exposes them as the snarling jackals they are, will win the day. It's not a matter of meanness, but justice. Laura is dead right. They have no interest in telling the story. They've written their story already. They are in fact determined opponents to the truth, and taking them on is part of this larger war. Who will do it?
