Agreed completely. When I first took my nephews for a ride in my Turbo Look, they were unimpressed...until I floored it in first gear. That's enough to press the body into the seats, make the engine howl, and lift their chins away from the portable video games they were playing. We spent the rest of the drive (around the neighborhood) just slowing down and punching it...but always in first gear. (..and always in a straight line..)

When I had my '88, my youngest nephew loved to sit in my lap and "drive" around the neighborhood. Again, always in first gear only with his Uncle Doug working the brake and gas...Danny steering and waving to neighbors because he's so cool in the black Porsche! Occasionally, I'd mash the throttle and give him a thrill...but we were never even near out of control. It doesn't take much to thrill children.

...to keep this slightly on topic...one of the times I had my nephew in my lap, a guy raking his leaves noticed us and yelled out "Can I be next?!?!"

...which is a little weird when you consider Dan was in my lap..
