I'll be the minority, I think Ford has improved Jaguar. Sure you may find Ford parts bin bits in your S-type, but they have greatly improved reliability, probably the biggest knock on the old Jags. Now Ford needs to just step away and let them go. Close association with Ford is the last thing any aspirational luxury brand needs, and I sure as hell don't want to see the same climate control in my $40k Jag as I would find in a $15k Focus. They need to get back to building exclusive, desirable cars on the high end, and top notch sports sedans that will compete with MB and BMW for their volume sellers. The biggest knock on the S-type was that it was a in-betweener, just like it's Lincoln brother. Not enough sport to be a sports sedan, not enough luxury to be a pure luxury car. It may be a nice car, and obviously some like it, but they tried to hit two targets with one dart. Probably a marketing decision by Ford, they've been missing the target for years.
