There is a short write-up from Chuck Stoddard on rebuilding fuel distributor heads on page 117 of volume V of "Up-Fixin der Porsche."
This article, written in 1977, recommended Loctite 242 for re-sealing the unit, with the following caveat: "If you use too much and it flows in the wrong place, you'll seal off a place that shouldn't be sealed, or you will have an interior lead from one chamber to another. If you are familiar with these units, and you use a little skill, you can rebuild one in two or three hours comfortably, and that's $100 (in 1977 dollars) an hour to your advantage."
