Replacing Rear Wheel Bearing on 70 911

I am replacing the rear bearing in my 911. The control arm bolt is put in such that I would have to remove to engine to remove the control arm. I would like to replace the bearing with with control arm in place.

I was able to remove the old bearing without too much trouble and have the new one in the freezer. I read some posts and got some good info. I was hoping someone had a bit more of a step by step of this process.

- This is my plan.. Freeze the Bearing , Heat the Control arm and insert the bearing.
- Pull the hub into the bearing using the sub axle and nut.

My main question is around this sequence. Could you press the hub into the bearing and then install the whole unit (that is how it came out)

Thanks and any words of wisdom would me great.
