Funny thing, well not so funny really because the show has slid quite a bit, I noted while watching the Daily Show. They had a fellow who was some sort of General in the Iraqui Air Force, number 2 guy he claimed. He wrote a book, Saddam's Secrets, about his experiences. He claims personal knowledge that materials to manufacture, and some completed chemical and biological weapons were moved to Syria just before the coalition troops rolled into Iraq. He probably was not really Iraqui, I am betting Mexican, and he has been on a plane, leading to his confusion about being in the air force. He must have made all that stuff up, he does have a book to sell after all. No doubt those Right wing nut jobs on the Daily Show put him up to it to support the President's position

During the lead up to the illegal invasion of Iraq there were repeated stories by a man, Khidar Hamza, that the Iraqi government was within 6 months of having a nuclear weapon. This man was repeatedly identified as
Saddam's Bombmaker by the FauxNews operatives; particularly Sean Hannity. Mr. Hamza even wrote a book about it. Turns out it was all a lie, he being on the payroll of Ahmad Chalabi, which means Mr. Hamza was receiving US government cash being funneled through Chalabi, Chalabi being on the payroll all through the Clinton years, and at least for a few of the early Bush years. It's no longer clear if Chalabi is still receiving government money directly, but he is involved in the current Iraqi government in some way.
I'd expect the guy you're enamored with is more of the same.
