Any kid in California is entitled to go to school, illegal or not.
A family can sneak across the border on Monday and their kids can be in public school on Tuesday, paid for by the rest of us. The schools are required to teach them in spanish if they do not speak english.

Several years ago the voters in California passed a bill that would make it illegal for an undocumented alien to go to public school or to be eligible for public assistance, but the bleeding heart liberal judges on the California supreme court ruled it as unconstitutional.
