I made a mistake last night. I booked a flight from Asheville NC to West Palm Beach on the 12th of Apri instead of the 5th as intended. It was a honest mistake.

I called Delta and explained my situation. They cancelled my ticket.

The flight initally cost me $360. No problem.

Now I check the website and it costs $500. The last time I flew this exact flight from Asheville to Atlanta there were 4 people on the plane.

I would imagine as the flight got closer they would AT LEAST kkep the price the same in order to fill seats.

I vented on the ticket lady on the phone and she gave it right back. Told me she was doing me a favor cancelling the ticket and I should be gratefull.

I pointed out they are going out of business and the last time I took this flight I was one of 5 people.

It would seem in their best interest to fill a few more seats.


Why is the rate jacked so high as the flight approaches?
