It's about 1.5 years old and does have a sapphire crystal. There are several cool models out. The Airman 8 which is the model I have is probably about the closest to the old 60's models. There's another model out that is a limited prod model called the Vintage V that's really close as well, there are still some of those available.

The Vintage and the 8 are both 36 mm, there's also a 40mm called the Airman 2000, a couple of 42mm, and a 46mm

The come with several different dial colors too. The Airman 8 that I have was $925 from

the guy to buy from in the states. He's been a Glycine seller since the 60's or maybe 50's.
