Stalin was ranting and raving for FDR/Eisenhower to open a second front to divert Hitlers production from Russia. Until D-Day in 1944 it was touch and go with the Eastern Front. After 6 June it was only a matter of time, no matter what anyone says.

Since the Germans ran out of steam in the summer of 1943 on the eastern front, and Stalin finally decided to release troops and equipment he'd been withholding from combat, your theory falls a bit short old man.
The US was used solely to enable the complete overrun of Germany by the British, French, and the mercantilists in D.C..
