I think something like that, assuming it's in nice shape, is going for around $10K these days.

Unless it's way underpriced, you don't have to deal with smog in your area, and you plan to put a 170hp Raby engine in it I'd pass.

IMHO, a 912E would be kind of annoying to own. It would be slow. It has a 914 2L engine that is choked down by a thermal reactors, EGR, and a smog pump. That engine with the more free flowing heat exchangers was fine in the lighter 914 but makes for a slow 912. There are also a bunch of parts that are unique to the 912E and hard to find.
