Another first for me. I was heading to the store and my clutch pedel made a loud pop and the clutch peddle went to the stop, but the cable was not really broken after I inspected it and reinstalled it. After I got the cable reinstalled and adjusted, ready to go for a test ride. The shifter linkage in the tunnel would not allow me to get over to 4th or 5th gear? I pulled out the shifter and noticed a 3/8" diameter pipe on the left side was some how in the way of the linkage and would not allow me to push the shifter into 4th and 5th gear, it was hitting the pipe. What happened? Did that pipe inside the tunnel break loose from a weld? It is on the left hand side of the tunnel when sitting in the driver seat. I have tried to align the shifter on the shaft to give it more play, but it still hits that pipe. What can I do? Has anyone had this happen and what is the remedy?
