Thumbs down

"I come before this body to personally express again my sincere regret about the encounter with the Capitol Hill Police. I appreciate my colleagues who are standing with me, who love this institution and who love this country. There should not have been any physical contact in this incident. I have always supported law enforcement and will be voting for H.R. 756, expressing my gratitude and appreciation to the professionalism and dedication of the men and women of the U.S. Capitol Police. I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all and I regret its escalation, and I apologize,"

Hmm...
"...about the encounter with the Capitol Hill Police."
.
Encounter? Yours? No ownership of her striking the officer.
~~~
"There should not have been any physical contact in this incident."
.
Who's "physical contact"? Yours? Again, no ownership.
~~~
"I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all and I regret its escalation..."
.
Misunderstanding? Escalation? You escalated it...is that what you regret?...if so, say that.
~~~
"... and I apologize,"
.
OK, go ahead and apologize.
Just saying "I apologize" does NOT an apology make. One must cite chapter and verse about one's part in the matter for an apology to be real, actual, sincere, and genuine. Otherwise, it's just a batch of words reflecting the deal one's ego has struck with its cowardice.
This BS from her is barely even an acknowledgment.
Once again, another unevolved ego that is unwilling to get off its position.
