My old '88 got 23 mpg driving on the interstate avg 80-90mph with no respect to the mileage. Several full throttle blasts and even a blast to 150. And lots of traffic in Louisianna because of construction. I think that if I had more self control I could probably get the mileage up into the mid to high 20's.
Porsche made it a point to not increase the size of the engines in 911s unless they could increase the fuel efficiency.
