When I adjusted my valves today I observed some pitting on two of the cam lobes. See the pictures below. My plan is to just continue using the car as before, but I will take a look at the cams each 5000 miles. What has caused this and is it "normal" or very uncommon on this type of car? Any comments will be appreciated. The car is a 87 Carrera 3.2 with 95000 miles.
