Thanks, Fintstone, for this and previous one. We are indeed the last, best hope -- precisely why so many wish us to be extinguished. Yeats' "wolves dragging down the noble stag." Anyway, we have no heroism problem in Iraq, or in battles anywhere. Taken as an average, we are exceptional. The problem, the heroism deficit, is in the privileged and political classes. Here, and throughout the west, these "important" but small men shrink from the moral hard work of maintaining freedom.
