My daughter's boyfriend recently had a tattoo removed. It took three sessions but the tattoo has been removed. The best part is that my daughter had some small ones she'd done herself on her hand removed at the same time. They were really horrible and until now had always refused to have them removed. (Clean hands again!

I was there at the boyfriend's first session (I wanted to see it done as I'm obviously interested because of my daughter's extensive collection).
They first used a mild local anaestetic and an anaestetic cream. It was then blasted with a laser, a dot about the size of a pinhead. This was described as feeling like a mild burn when it was being done. He flinched a bit at the time, the real fun came about an hour later when the anaestetic wore off and the burn kicked in. The colour at first seems to intensify and then the lymph glands clean it up. It took three one hour sessions to complete over a month and left what I would describe as blemising, invisible when the hair on his arm grows back. My daughter's was much quicker and taken care of in a half-hour session. She needs to go back for a couple of spots that were missed first time round. Unfortunately the rest of her art gallery is safe

If my daughter turned up with something like this:

I would remove in a similar way - and that would be just for starters!
