Hi alf,

This is Andrew. You may or may not remember me. I was originally from Singapore. I lived in Seattle during the late 80s till 2002. I visited your family restaurant on Capital Hill all the time. I have come to know your mom, stepfather, sister and older brother quite well (I believe you were working in the audit field at the time, travelling quite often and I did not get a chance to know you better). I moved to Portland in 2002, and have just returned to Singapore for a 3 year job assignment in 2004.

I was doing one of my rare checks on Pelican when I came across this post. I am saddened to hear about the death of your stepfather. I enjoyed talking to him and hearing about this experiences of living in S-E Asia.
