The fact is, no one has ever, ever gotten into a war with an exit strategy. Gulf I is the only exception.

In WWII, we were attacked without notice. the War in Iraq is one of choice, meaning you really pretty much have all the time in the world to plan, and indeed, Shinsecki (sp) spelled out a good plan with enough troops to get the job done.
For political reasons, he was sacked, and the Military has paid the price for poor planning from the civilian branch ever since.
