I look at it this way, regular FM consumes my time with endless commercials, and my time is money to me. After all no one pays me to listen to their junk. So $11 to live without the diarrhea of commercial ridden "free fm" is money well spent.
To call what satellite “radio” would mean that you would need to give another name to terrestrial radio, the two are fundamentally different.
