Thought I'd post this after reading the fine comments on the "Questions for Motorcyclists" thread.
Motorcycle safety advocate, trainer, and author of the "Stayin' Safe" series in Rider magazine, Larry Grodsky, 55, died Saturday, April 8, in Texas. He was killed while riding a recently purchased motorcycle back from California.
His motorcycle collided with a deer.

The one thing I fear most while motorcycle touring, especially on back roads, is colliding with a deer.
I did kill a deer back in the mid '60's in Utah...flying down a steep canyon decline @ ~100+ mph in a Renault R10.
(Haven't collided with one yet on a motorcycle)
I hit the last one of a group that was crossing the Hwy. Didn't even try to miss it - going too fast...too dangerous to maneuver away.
