Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the information... We are really torn right now between living in the downtown area (loft style) and renting storage for all my bikes-etc., or finding a older stucco-spanish style home somewhere within 1/2 hour of Lakewood.

After we get settled, I'd like to try a pick up a little piece of property in the hills and build another log cabin (the second time should go a lot smoother than the first one I did in Oregon) for our someday retirement..

No kids, got a dog, wife's been working for Southern Illinois University's School of Medicine as an admin for the guy who runs their Childrens hospital. Before that, she did the same job for the CIO of CitiGroup. Hopefully, we will find her something decent, maybe downtown?

I'm really excited about the move, I lived in Golden back in the early 80's..my student days..I'm sure it has all changed pretty radically.
