Ah yes, that reminds me of another reason I went with that particular rear proj. LCD model (noted above): It has a built in "cable card" reader, so you can receive cable/HD sources without a "set-top box". You just need to call your cable provider to see if they offer cable card service. It also has an HDMI input so external sources w/HDMI output (HD receivers, up-scaling DVD players, etc.) can be used to their full potential.
