Posted a remark in another thread and decided to start a new one.

So, if this (BS) amnesty thing passes, does that mean all of the folks from countries other than the Mexico/South American regions be granted amnesty as well? What about the German engineer working for Mercedes USA and wants to naturalize? What about the Russian mail order bride that the desparate dater purchased. Finally, what about the doods who have "Mohammed" in their name and are visiting from the middle-East?

If so, do we risk a threat of terrorist citizens? Can we really assume the Governments will do their diligence in doing background checks on 12 million people? I know for a fact there are violent felons in the group of 12 million. Will they be screened and deported? Or will they become citizens?

If not, has the Government created classism and racism against other nationalities?

My guess is that them amnesty stunt has nothing to do with people, but everything to do with votes....
