my switch is on the left side of the dme. easy access, but like fast924s, i leave it on pp position all the time. only exception is for emissions testing.
as far as fuel consumption goes, for some reason, it actually works out better on the highway in pp position. around town, its maybe a little less. i think once you fit the chip, you tend to develop a lead foot for the first couple weeks, as you "evaluate" the difference.
