I took pictures, just in case, was prepared for battle..but the guy is so dumb he smells of it. I feel sorry for him. For him, his brain is a handicap...he'd probably get fired plus I dont' want anyone messing with my windshield..especially that group..even to put in a new one. I liked what the polish was doing. Impressive. However, it doesn't do anything for rock chip pits.
Last night I put on a heavy coat of REJEX in hopes of stabilizing the crap he put on the car, something called Polymeric Shield (STAY AWAY FROM IT...IT'S CRAP). I'm hoping that the REJEX makes it work better. Not sure what that crap is but windshield washer fluid makes it get sticky and it spots easily. But today, with REJEX on top, it looks like a million dollars. The crap stuff apparently fills swirls and microscratches (I had wanted them buffed out...but).
Worst case, I should be able to remove the crap stuff and start over. If I ever have anyone do a detail for me again...I'm going to camp out there and supervise what they're doing. They hate that but I really don't care.
I was, however, surprised by the glass polish stuff...but at least he knew to not buff so hard as to heat the glass and break it. I guess he's BTDT.
I'm getting too soft hearted I guess. I think an illegal would have done better. I still would babysit the work and I speak Spanish as a 2nd. Language.
Never a dull moment.
While I was there another guy brought in a 924 that looked like it had been used to ferry troops into Berlin during WWII..everything but bullet holes...peeling paint, cracked (bad) dash, torn seats, etc. and the detail guy said he was going to have to turn the job down because no amount of work he could do would help that particular car. I have to agree with him on that. Totally mistreated and unkept car. Shame.
