I put that cheap chip in my car over a year ago now, and I can report back no problems with the motor whatsoever.
I was using mobil 93 octane but switched to shell this year.
runs better on shell for some reason....
living out on the east end of long island and during the summer it was not a problem with the motor, no overheating and no traces of pinging.
I am planning to switch out the stock exhaust for a set of SSI's
and have not decided on which muffler to go with.
and am also considering trying a steve wong chip.
