- check clutch and flywheel
- check CV joints
- replace shifter bushings and shift coupler
- inspect all hoses and replace as necessary
- inspect condition of wiring harness
- clean all goop out of engine bay and (particularly) transmission tunnel area, check for rust
- replace engine compartment sound pad if it is falling apart
- repair any damaged undercoating
