PM is a wonderful program as long as you realize that you can lose everything when doing something like this. BACKUP before doing anything like this!
I network my computers and copy everything important from one to the other and so on, then have a third one that was retired years ago. It sits under the desk and is turned on every month or so and EVERYTHING I want to save is mirror'ed there. The chances of losing three systems and hard drives at once is so small that no longer worry about losing data.
