Yea, every year the City of Long Beach likes to suck up (no pun) to the gay voters and indulge them (again, no pun) by hosting a "Pride Parade". Unfortunately, this thing runs RIGHT down Ocean Boulevard outside my front door and causes quite a stir for the entire afternooon.

Now normally I'm a pretty open-minded guy but I simply can't deal with having to have peoples' sexuality (regardless of what kind it is) rammed down my throat (still again, no pun) for hours on end. So to avoid the unpleasantness of being hit on by drag queens on my way to/from the garage or seeing dudes goin' "Brokeback Mountain" on each other in my alley until all this silliness subsides, I'm lookin' to get out of town for Saturday - something I generally don't do simply because of traffic.

Normally I just stay in on Saturday, do some work around the place, work on the P-cars or otherwise stay local. Not this time.

So what's goin' on Saturday? Anything worth doing/checking out?
