Seriously, if flying is not in your bones, then I would choose a school other than for the ability to do more flying: nearly every school is near a private airport to do flying. Go visit some and pick the one you want for other reasons. I too went to Davis for undergrad but only because Berkeley was too close to home in Walnut Creek. Nearly any good school is good enough. It is the one for grad school that counts for more, Go Bears.
