I have no use for modern "country" music. It's no more than some nameless promoters' vision of an American way that they can sell. It doesn't have the heart and soul of the old stuff; it's degenerated into shallow marketing. Anyone that falls too far outside of that canned vision is snubbed. That said, I grew up with Johnny Cash and still like his stuff (among others). Old school all the way.
