The wife and I were cruising down the 4 lane recently next to a cigar smoking driver of a Ford Coupe Street Rod!!! He had the full on deal w/ engine lid completely pulled off, fully exposing that HUGE chrome blower.
And of course it wasn't long before I see him look over and then begin to 'blip' his throttle at me.
He does a couple of quick "take-offs" trying to engage me, but I was just gonna let him go up until... ERrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk [record scratching sound] ...wife says: "are you just gonna let him get away with that." In utter disbelief, but with some confidence I said: "Why, NO... I mean err HELL NO! Now that you mention it." LOL!
I popped it down in third with him beside me and just let her RIP!
Next thing I know we're doing 130mph and I'm looking back in the rear view at the street rod along with 2 other cars trying to hang.
That was great. Didn't even notice the other competition until we both went for it.
