Here's good news - my buddy just had to have his 77 tARGA 3.0 smogged (passed) and he has DMV documentation stating that, unless he sells the car before it's 30 yrs old (next year), the car will never need to be smogged agai!
He & I were both surprised that our governator, et al, apparently reinstated the 30 year rolling exemption.
He's faxing me the paperwork - unfortunately my SC's an 82, so I'm stuck for a while.
