There is nothing wrong w/ slang, as long as it is not the only way that you know how to speak. Black slang, working-class white slang from various regions, etc.., it adds to the richness of the language and culture but it is
extremely important for kids to be taught and become fluent in standard english if they ever hope to amount to anything in the world.
You might be amazed, (or not), at how many rap icon/celebrities are actually very intelligent and/or well educated and speak flawless english when the situation dictates.
