Got bored last night.
Decided to do a Linux install.
Downloaded the Fedora DVD iso (3 gig). Used torrent and it came down in an hour over my FIOS broadband.
Configured a new Virtual Machine in Parralels, pointed the CD to the iso, boot and 20 minutes later Fedora is up and running.
Not bad basically an hour and a half from start to finsih.
Parralels VM rocks.
Here's a screenshot where I'm runing OSX, XP and Fedora all at the same time. All three simultaneously accessing the net via built in Airport.
XP and Fedora can run windowed or full screen if I want. Switching between all 3 is as simple as switching between an application.
No repartitioning required. Makes adding SW safe. Clone the disc image before making any changes to the OS and if things go bad just toss the image and use the last known good one.
