Sure, I am from Sweden and I have come to understand that there are members on this board that regards living by The Book equals a higher moral standard. As Sweden is a highly secularized society we obviously need not apply when it comes to life ethics and moral.
Anyway, the topic at hand is controversial within Europe. Sweden is actually one the countries that have been shouting out loud against the German policy. Our chancellor of Justice even suggested we should boycott the Championship of Football this summer.
The German view is that legalized business pulls it out in the light. Authorities have better control and insight. The pros ends up with a more secure, less dangerous work situation.
Those against (official Swedish policy) argue mostly from a general, indignant, moral point of view.
Sure, very few people would argue prostitution is a good thing. But, as the phenomenon is regarded as the oldest trade in the world and impossible to eradicate, acting in a way that best serves the poor girls is not that clear cut.
Now you may verbally hit me on the head.
