There was a long thread on the 911 side about this a few months back. Some sales guy was singing the praises of the idea, but some of the engineers proved scientifically and mathamatically that it was not possible for it to do what is claimed.
The current draw neccessary to provide even slightly boosted induction would melt the provided wiring within seconds.
It basically amounts to an obstruction in your intake, and a reduction in electrical power.
Got pretty heated.
A guy offered to pay for dyno runs. After many silly excuses and delays by the supporter, finally two different cars, a 911 and a 928 were lined up for dyno runs with and without the electric supercharger.
The engineers were proved right. The electric supercharger was worthless. Then it got really funny when the guy promoting these things complained about how the dyno runs weren't fair. He was at the dyno, and approved of everything, but when things didn't go his way it was like kindergarten all over.
That was some of the most entertaining reading ever on the 911 side.
Bottom line, don't waste your money.
