Top gear recently did a good piece on the new z06, and surprisingly it was the first corvette that they loved, and was just a hair slower on there ranking board than a gt3 (the stig test). It was neat, one of the tests was showing how that 7L engine has so much low-end torque that it could be started from a stop in high gear (fourth or fifth, don't remember which). It went from 0 to 130 something miles an hour in one gear.
I'm still not a fan of the push rod engine, i know it's a great engine, just don't like it. I will admit though, i'm in love with the solstice gxp and can't wait for that car to come out.
