Well The ESC has seen a couple of variations from what I read and see. Including a Centrifugal version. The Centrifugal setup is what I have seen in person.

It uses 3 Small 11lb 680cc optima batteries - they look like motorcycle batteries.

Its boost on demand and no bottle to fill. According to the guy running it. He can get 10-12 runs out of it at 15-20 seconds. He has run it up to 30 seconds, but he finds that you really dont get to be at WOT for that long.

His commment was that even if it was full time, how often would he get to use it?

Even a turbo. In daily driving how often would any of us be in the boost and accelerating or running full out, before you break the law or risk someones life?

As for the track. I run my ranger, it turbochargered and hauls. But I have to have the revs up to be in the boost. Nature of a turbo.

He can launch with boost and keep it on the full length of the run, and do it over and over, then cruise back to the lineup and the alternator just charges the batteries back up.

He said he has all of 1500 invested which is more than a nitrous system, but as often as he used his nitrous, he has already saved money just on having to fill up tanks. Plus The heat of nitrous combustion isnt their nor the risk of having a bomb in your back seat or trunk. Who knows.

One thing that did interest me. They have a small version that supposedly can be used to kill lag so that you have instant boost and the turbo handles everything after you disengage it.

Charles, the guy with the ESC says it could be setup to handle all that and the cost would be less than 1k. To use it instead of a Nitrous setup for better launches. I think with better battery tech and better motors the system would be fantastic.
