The science behind them is proven but in this application the claims of performance improvement are total BS.
Maybe if we were building bonneville racers and were only concerned with improving top speeds that were already very high, there might be an advantage.

Someone needs to take a lap around a track without them and then one with. I'd bet a beer that the variance in lap times will not be influenced at all by this device.
