I don't have any black friends - I had a few in my classes, some did poorly while I have one guy that I am still in contact with and if I could I would hire him in a minute. Great prgrammer. I'm working on getting him a job when he graduates next year, not cuz he is black but because he is smart and he works hard. Another black student is in his 30's from South Africa - worked in a Diamond mine there and is over here with his kids and wife working 2 jobs and going to school. He was one of the few to earn and get an A (whites and blacks included). The only black chick in my class also did well.

I have not seen a great distinction between whites and blacks in my classes - the two black students that bagged the mid-term actually pulled it together and passed the course. I failed several students. I really can't remember their race. I think one was either Italian or Hispanic...can't rememebr now. Guess it doesn't matter.
