James, the part with the teeth gone is the; '915 Synchro Hub / Dog Teeth (sold per each), Symmetrical 1st Gear 911 (1972-76), 2nd Gear 911 (1972-86)' for second gear. The other with the teeth ground off is; '915 Synchro Hub, Asymmetrical 1st, 911 (1977-86) Brand: Getrag', both purchased from our host. The reason I tore into the trans in the first place is because I found teeth on a gear oil change and I had trouble shifting into first.
