Hey everyone, I've been emailing back and forth with Jim (copper) the last few days. You guys might have noticed he hasn't been around here much lately. His wife Ves is in the hospital right now. She's got lupus, and it's been acting up pretty badly lately. Anyway, the point of all this is that he mentioned that he was hoping to take her on a vacation in August, after she's out of the hospital and before he starts school. I think it'd be really awesome if, at the next run we could take up a collection to make sure that vacation happens. I don't think Jim really needs charity - he's going to law school in the fall! But I think with starting school and who knows what kind of accomodations they're going to have to make around the house, a vacation wouldn't really be in the works.
Anyway, let me know what you guys think. I don't mind coordinating the fundraising, although I have no idea really how to do it, but I'm sure I can figure that out. And count me in for the fun run. I can't really help organize or host everyone here, but for this, and after my day yesterday, I think it'd be good for my soul as well
