Saw the CAF 17 many years ago here in CO, but, my memory says it was olive at the time, not polished metal. Also, then, there were only 2 or 3 flyable 17's, so the number is increasing.
Also, there was a B-29 here, and I think, it was the ONLY flyable 29 in existance, at the time.
Made the mistake of standing under the engine of a P-38 (White Lightnin' ?) after it's flyby. Never did get the oil stain out of that shirt.
