73 MFI muffler- what is "stock"

The muffler on my 73 RS is finally dead, and I'm looking for the "stock" replacement. I have checked Stoddard, and they have a muffler, part number 911-111-025-00, for $380. This is the correct original muffler part number. I called to ask for the origin, and they only know that with that part number they are sourcing it from Porsche- at least that is what the parts person said.

I'd love to stay "stock", which to me means a NOS muffler from the original supplier (Leistritz or Bishoff maybe?). However, if those are NLA I'd rather just get the current supplier's muffler through the cheapest source possible. In other words, if Dansk is now the supplier, am I getting the same version here as I would from Porsche, and saving $100 in the process?

Any help is appreciated. I've read the muffler threads here and I'm convinced that "stock" is the way to go for best overall performance, at least for me.
