So she emails me why don't we meet tomorrow noon at 2nd street in Long Beach (Belmont Shore). To those who don't know 2nd street is a hip beach neighborhood that gets extremely crowded and has very little parking... especially on a Sunday afternoon.

"Well I you know I don't eat seafood so that won't work for me".
" I know, we could just meet there then move on to one of the other restaurants in the area".
"Well, let me go online and check out the restaurants in the area and I will call you back".
Sorry, just needed to vent.

In my opinion, you weren't firm enough in your wording. This is of course, very delicate.
You say, "Great idea (for a place to go) but I have to park here (in the big parking lat) if we're going to go there."
That's a method of supporting her decision of a place to go, but putting you're requirements as a condition she must meet.
Works most of the time.
