You want praise, then defend America only.

You can't expect militarism to garner anything but scorn. That's why the founders tried to prohibit a standing Army, which unfortunately was gotten around via a corrupt legislature who wanted to use military spending as "pork" for their districts.

When the US governments military is reduced to that needed for defense of the country only, respect will return; slowly and well into the future.
